Hi there!
My name is Miranda Balogh. I’m a Canadian artist and educator who loves teaching and inspiring my audience.
As a content creator and blogger, my desire is to share educational resources that will help you develop your artistic skills and cultivate a creative mindset.
I’ll show you that you don’t need an expensive art education or years of experience to hone your artistic abilities. To succeed, all you need is the desire to learn and the passion to drive your ambition.
Core Values
Although I have been creating art for several years, I only started painting with watercolours in January 2020.
Shown below are watercolour paintings demonstrating how I leveraged online education (in the form of free Youtube tutorials and Skillshare classes) and combined it with my passion for art.
As a result, I was able to transform myself from a struggling beginner watercolour artist into a half decent watercolourist.
If I can achieve this success, I know you can, too!
Personal Philosophy
Knowing that education is not always affordable for people of different walks of life, it has become my mission to provide easily accessible and informative resources for everyone.
As such, I provide digital resources and offer online art education to empower artists and creatives like yourself to leverage your skills in an increasingly visual and digital world.
So if you have stumbled across this little corner of the Internet to learn how to improve your watercolour painting skills as well as your art education, you’ve come to the right place!
About Me In A Nutshell
Some time after graduating, I embarked on the journey of a lifetime. I moved to the other side of the world to teach English in South Korea.
During the year and a half that I lived in South Korea, I realized that I wanted to keep teaching when I returned home.
But when my journey abroad came to an end a bit before the start of the global pandemic in 2020, all my future plans were upended. At this turning point in my life, I had a few realizations:
- I recognized how important education had become during a time when the world was learning to adjust to a new normal.
- Art became an important coping mechanism for many people who were struggling to adapt mentally, physically, and emotionally.
- As well, online education had become a necessity so that students could continue their learning while social distancing.
For these reasons, I decided to combine my teaching experience with my creative skills. In this way, I can offer online education to anyone who is passionate and willing to learn.
Now that you know a bit about me and my mission, I welcome you to check out my weekly blog posts for more information.
It is my hope that these informative resources will serve you well. That being said, good luck with all your artistic and creative endeavours!
Best regards,
