Hey there! My name is Miranda Balogh. I’m a Canadian artist and educator who helps artists improve their self-confidence so they can create artwork that they’re proud of. In this way, I inspire my audience to unlock their authentic self-expression.
To empower your creativity, I publish fun YouTube tutorials, helpful art blogs, online art courses & eBooks, and personable stories filled with lessons from my own creative journey.
Contrary to popular belief, you don’t need an expensive art education or many years of experience to be an artist. In my opinion, everyone is creative. Anyone can be an artist. To step into your power as an artist, all you need is the willingness to express yourself through your art. It’s really that simple!
My Core Values
My Present and Who I Am Becoming
2025 was one of the hardest and most challenging years of my life.
In a nutshell, I succumbed to burnout. Realizing that something had to change, I decided to step away from creating and publishing content because my nervous system could no longer handle the stress that I was experiencing at that time.
Honestly, stepping away from work and business to improve my health was one of the hardest decisions of my life. But I knew in my heart that it was the right decision because, as they say, “Health is wealth.”
If you are curious and want to know more about my experience with burnout, feel free to read this honest and vulnerable newsletter titled From Creative Burnout to Empowerment: What Happened in 4 Months. Perhaps you can relate, my friend?
During this difficult time, I questioned whether I would ever return to creating and publishing content online. Like a lighthouse shining its light through a tumultuous storm, I persevered through that dark period of my life. Then, at long last, the storm finally abated. The clouds cleared. The sun is shining. The sky is blue again.
To my great joy, I returned to online content creation in June 2026.
I feel like a butterfly emerging from a chrysalis because my relationship to art, creativity, passion, and self-expression underwent a complete death and rebirth cycle.
In this brand new cycle of life, I am focused on becoming artistically and creatively empowered, embracing authentic self-expression through art, and finding my voice once again. And I’m here to share this journey of transformation with you!
In the past, I mostly taught step-by-step tutorials to my audience because my focus was on teaching artists how to acquire artistic skills that would help them confidently create art that they’re proud of.
Now, my mission is evolving into the art of self-expression because I want to inspire my audience to unlock their authentic self-expression through art. My North Star is anchored in helping my audience discover their authenticity, voice, and style through art and creativity.
My Past and Who I Was
Some time after graduating from university, I embarked on the journey of a lifetime because I moved to the other side of the world to teach English in South Korea.
During the 1.5 years that I lived in South Korea, I realized that I enjoyed teaching so much that I wanted to continue teaching when I returned home to Canada.
However, when my journey abroad came to an end a few months before the start of the global pandemic in 2020, all my future plans were upended. At this turning point in my life, I had three major realizations:
- I recognized that online education and online communities were becoming more important than ever during a time when the entire world was going through an unprecedented crisis.
- Art became an important healing and coping mechanism for many people who were struggling to adapt mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and physically to the pandemic.
- Art became an important healing balm and creative outlet for many people who were burning out from the stress and pressures of modern day living.
If you would like to read the story that inspired me to create my online art business, I encourage you to check out this email newsletter titled How Unexpected Loss Made Me A Better Artist. It’s an emotional, heartfelt, and inspiring tale.
For these reasons, I decided to combine my teaching experience with my creative skills so that I can offer online education to anyone who is passionate and willing to learn.
It is my hope that these informative learning resources, art tips, and empowering stories of artistic transformation will serve you well.
Good luck with all your artistic and creative endeavours!
Best regards,
